Service Area: Baker, Union, Grant & Wallowa Counties (Eastern Oregon)

Appliances & More is hiring a dependable, skilled Service Technician to join our team. We are a locally owned business serving a large rural region, known for taking care of our customers and standing behind what we sell.
Our technicians work on more than just appliances — this is a hands-on, problem-solving job for someone who enjoys variety and working independently.
What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and repair major household appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, etc.)
  • Service and repair hot tubs and related components
  • Assist with furniture service issues (mechanisms, adjustments, manufacturer claims, etc.)
  • Travel throughout Baker, Union, Grant, and Wallowa counties for service calls
  • Provide professional, friendly customer service in customers’ homes
  • Document service calls, parts used, and repair notes accurately
  • Communicate clearly with office staff about scheduling and parts needs
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory
  • Represent Appliances & More with professionalism and integrity
What We’re Looking For
  • Appliance repair experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right mechanically inclined person
  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC experience is a big plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable driving long distances in rural areas
  • Ability to lift, move, and maneuver equipment and parts
  • Basic computer or tablet skills for service documentation
Requirements
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass fingerprinting
  • Must pass a drug screening
Bonus If You Have
  • Factory certifications
  • EPA certification
  • Experience with sealed systems
  • Hot tub/spa service experience
  • Previous in-home service experience
